Path2Peaks: Grade-1 Scrambles In Snowdonia
What is a Grade-1 scramble?
Grade-1 scramble involves rough, often exposed ground where you will occasionally need to use your hands. Route - finding is usually fairly obvious, though some sections may feel more serious depending on exposure and conditions. Ropes are seldom needed unless you or your group are unsure or nervous.
Why Snowdonia?
Snowdonia (Eryri) is rich in accessible scrambling routes. Many peaks and ridges offer routes that are challenging enough to give you that scramble thrill, but still manageable for those building confidence. It combines stunning scenery, variety (ridges, aretes, narrow knife-edges), and classic routes. Crib Goch is amongst one of the most famous - though it's exposed and can be dangerous in bad weather.
